As far as I can tell, the wet fader is just a fader for that controls the amplitude of the effected signal. Let's say I'm creating a really bright, shimmery reverb and I have my dry fader all the way down. I can then adjust the wet fader as sort of a volume control for my overall reverbed signal. Also, if I have some of the dry signal amplified, I can dampen the wetness by turning down the wet fader just a bit to get things under control.

if anyone wants to hear only the reverb, do as follow :
send your sound to a free mixer track.
then send that channel to 2 other channels, and cancel the send to master track.
on one channel do "reverse polarity" (looks like up and down arrows on the channel). - to cancel original sound.
on the second channel put the reverb, and set the dry to 0.
