Amen it took me waaay too long to start using send tracks. Same with submixes. So useful and easy to just avoid until its too late

To me, the most nice thing about putting reverb in a separate send instead of an insert, is that you have more freedom to sculpt the reverb with other effects on the send, separate from the vocal. By putting your reverbs in sends you'll have much more fun putting weird stuff like distortion, compression, flanger, auto-wah etc. on your reverb to really make it stand out (whenever the mix needs that).

I actually have three separate sends for verbs. Two of which are panned hard right and left (~80%). But the third is for throws and drums. It gives you so much controll.

Where is the dry/wet knob in Valhala Room? It's a good reverb, but without the dry knob it's completely unsuitable for send.

I always use inserts . . . the CPU strain thing is mostly a myth, I'm on a crappy 2013 iMac / Logic, I can insert dozens of high quality reverbs and tailor them to each track, no CPU issues at all . . . bussed effects are a throwback to when a studio only had 2 or 3 reverb units, and had to share them across tracks . . . people of a certain age still think like this, even though we can use 100 reverbs if we want, inserts rule.
