Or run reverbs with unique pre delays on your instruments, and then send them to the same reverb. It adds more depth. (just make sure to adjust the send amount for each instrument being sent to the reverb. This creates a room for your instruments)

Wouldn’t the Eq after the reverb also be applied to the main vocal?

reverb send is older technique than rev. directly on channel. the sound consoles were engineered with 4 to 8 Sub buses and 4 to 8 send-return busses for revs. dell. and that's even better for wet-dry effects because the whole mix is under one umbrella sort of saying. Only switch type effects were applied directly into insert point on the channel using Y cable. Guit. effects and phasers and so on.. Compressors were also switch type until one day someone in NY invented a parallel compression by mixing dry channel with 100% harsh compressed channel.

is this any different than turning down mix knob on reverb plugin directly? seems like it just makes the reverb control more accessible vs clicking into the mixer track

А в чём разница? Таким же образом можно повесить сначала эквалайзер, А потом и ревербератор на обработки в цепочку. Не понял посыл видео
