Reverb VS Delay or Echo - What Is The Difference? Explanation, Comparison and Demonstration

This is a guitar lesson for beginners: What's the difference between Reverb and Delay (Echo) guitar FX pedals? I hope everything will be clear about these effects after my explanation, comparison and demonstration.

I make two examples. If you will shout in the Grand Canyon – it will be a Delay / Echo.
And if you will shout into the iron barrel – it will be a Reverb.

Great demonstration.
The Grand Canyon vs Barrel example was perfect. Now I have the visual image of the sound folding back & bouncing around inside the barrel. Whereas I see the echo as going straight to a wall and coming straight back, not really affected by other surfaces.

Also, love the hats 🎩.
