The camera quality on that RAV-4 is straight outta the early 2000s flip phones

Can you do a sound system test next? I love listening to music in my car but nobody ever talks about the sound quality.

Great stuff but would love some kind of summary or table so we can see all results combined, maybe a points system and then use this for all reviews like this in future.

This was a great test. Toyota was already losing points in my assessment lately but seeing just how bad the rear view camera was compared with the Korean vehicles just made me shake my head further.
I think Toyota has become too complacent. The tech is dated and they are slow to upgrade.

Part of the test sound have included charging ports - front and back, USB C vs USB A as well. And a round up at the end of the winner on aggregate. On a presenters note, you’re the best presenter …Greta style ..love it !

Hey mate, not sure if this has been requested before but would really love following reviews
1. Nighttime driving and night interior lights
2. Common issues of that particular after a certain No of Ks or years ie sensor issues/transmission issues/noises
3. After sales care/warranty claims
Only came across your videos recently, absolutely love them !

Great comparison hopefully many more to come. I wish you had included rankings for each test with an overall ranking. Hopefully you can do another test for driving assistance technology to find out which are the best.

Great idea for a video. Very interesting. Thanks.
Can i recommend night-time test for reverse cameras. This assesses the performance of the sensor (camera) in low light as well as the usefulness of the reversing lights for each vehicle.
I anticipate there will be an even greater variation in camera performance at night vs the day. It is an important test as really poor night time camera performance might make the reverse system next to useless in an unlit area - something we cannot assess during a test drive. Just keep ambient light levels constant for each vehicle ;-)

Thanks, Paul. Very interesting video.

However, there are two extra things that would be great to also mention:
1. Whether there are some manual knobs, how well they integrate with the infotainment system and whether they are of a comfortable size. (you briefly eluded to this when discussing the Tiguan); and
2. How easy is it to access some of the regularly used features of the car itself (how intuitive is the system).

Regards here from ZA!

I would have been fascinated to see the navigation results eg how many km's they all thought it was to the destination (would help understand best route, outdated maps etc), time it takes to pair a phone via bluetooth, amount of steps to add your favourite station to the system and how much can be achieved from the steering controls.
Great video as always though!

I agree with you ref the CRV, we have a 21 model crv, the top of the model range and we are very disappointed with the small usable screen, poor rev camera, in such a premium brand of car which wasn’t cheap. Having said that we love the car, it is so quiet and easy to drive and only uses 6.5 to 7.5L/100 on the highway. Great review 👍

Feature request, if you’re reviewing wired vs wireless smart phone mirroring then having the a changing facility to match should be considered. I.e do the all wireless cars have wireless charging as well? Plugging in has been significantly more reliable in my experience (wireless dropouts) and not really that annoying to plug in. Wireless is only convenient provided there’s a wireless charging option as mirroring chews your phone battery.
