Thank you so much 🙏🏼❤ Had the same noise while driving through potholes and everyone told me: You need a new Airmatic Damper 😂 Original Bilstein about 1.600 € each! Then i did the same thing you did, and it was like in your case: The upper Control arm ( Ball Joint ). I got one from Febi Bilstein ( German Brand ) for 117€ 😂 then replaced both sides in the front, and the noise was gone! Thank you so much, because no one knew and searched for the cause: They told me it could be the Wheel bearing, it could be the lower control arm, it could be the control arm pointing to the front of the car, could be the swaybar bushings or the swaybar connecting rods 😂 No one cares about the problems of the customer, just want to make money. Very sad 😢 I drive a W220 S320 from 2000 by the way with 287.000 km 😊

My c300 4 matic makes that noise only when I reverse to the left.
Is this what it is ? Should I ask them to replace the drivers side upper arm and ball joints. It’s easy going into a shop telling them what to do. It’s that same noise.
