Cake Layer Ingredients:
►6 large eggs, room temp
►1 cup granulated sugar
►1 cup all-purpose flour
►½ tsp baking powder

What you'll need:
►Two 9" cake pans
►Parchment paper
►Flour sifter

Cake Frosting Ingredients:
►1 cup heavy whipping cream
►2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened at room temp
►¾ cup granulated sugar

Cake Filling/Decor:
►1½ lbs fresh strawberries (1 lb to blend and ½ lb for decor)
►⅓ cup chocolate chips to melt and decorate the top, optional

I made this cake today to take for brunch at a friend's house and everyone just loved it. A quick tip: try to avoid to come too close to the edges of the cake when spreading the strawberry. It could mess up the frosting when you're doing the sides.

Made this cake today for Father’s Day (Australia) and it was amazing! My brother in law said it was “epic” and husband gave it 11 out of 10 and was really happy because it wasn’t too sweet! :) I baked it in a chiffon cake/tube cake pan and decorated with lashings of strawberry filling, cream cheese frosting and fresh strawberries. So difficult to cut for my poor dad, but delicious!! Will definitely try more of your recipes in the future! 🍓

I made this cake two times! Soo yummy! At first when the cake came out of the oven I was like omg this smells so eggy! I was like oh no. Then when I made the frosting I was like oh no, I can taste the cream cheese. I was almost disappointed, but then I had some again the next day, and boy it was soo delicious!!! Will make it again a hundred times! I'd say make sure you chill it before having it. I finished my second cake at midnight and used the cake at 4pm. Perfect!!! Moisture absorbed and layers perfect. So I'd say about the complaints of the eggy smell and cream cheese taste- just wait. Give it some time. I will always add a splash of vanilla extract though. Personal preference. Hats off to this recipe!!! Thank you Natasha👏💙

I made this beautiful cake. A couple of tips - the first one is a repeat of an earlier one about not spreading the strawberry filling too close to the edges as it does spill out and get into the icing. Also, check the sweetness of the strawberries as I felt that I should have added some sugar to them. The cake was a bit sour for me, but still delicious.
