Should you get the Niu KQi2 Pro or the KQi3 Pro? I’ve had an electric scooter for over 3 years now, and it’s so much fun to ride. Sometimes I use it as an actual mode of transportation - to get me where I want to go - and sometimes I just ride it around because it always puts a smile on my face - so when Niu asked if I wanted to compare the KQi2 and the KQi3 Pro - I thought, - uhhhh, yeah, definitely.

What's up everyone?! I hope this comparison of the KQi2 Pro and the KQi3 Pro was helpful. Did I cover what you wanted to know? What else did you want to see or learn about?

Would love to know what you think. Would you buy one of the scooters? What other E Scooter would you get instead?

Got the KQi2 and am 6'2 210 lbs and love it. So worth the money. I skated for 7 years of my 36 year life and it works fine for what I wanted. Just something to cruze on and commute. You don't need the app for it to work. Just got to ride it in eco for 200meters or around 3 football fields or so and you can swap it to sport mod with one click. And I hit 17+ mph all the time. Takes hills good for my weight and also for 420$ it's a great option. I het 14 miles easy on a charge. Didn't know it had a battery safety thing for the charging I would always set an alarm and unplug it at night to not harm the battery so that is something new I learned threw this video.

I just turned 50 and got my first scooter, a kqi2. I just love it, like he says it will definitely put a smile on your face and it’s just fast enough. Any faster and I think you need more gear then just a helmet…

The one thing he doesn’t mention is you won’t get 40KM range unless you are going downhill with the wind at your back. I get about 25 or 27KM range. I am 170 and our retain is flat as a pancake

This is a really good review. Great breakdown.

Not a bad video. Especially since there are very few comparisons between the two models. But there's one issue I'd like to highlight:
Setting the regenerative braking to weak, medium, or strong will NOT change the amount of energy that is harvested. If you brake WITHOUT using the friction brakes (drum or disc) the kinetic energy is fully (we're excluding losses due to efficiency) recuperated. The only difference is how long it takes to stop.

The weight limit kills it for me 😅🤷🏼 I’m about 265lbs maybe less but, this has always been my issue with getting a scooter. Nicely done with the video as always.✊🏼🤙🏼

I own both and like both. I have over 370 miles on the 2 Pro and over 140 miles on the 3 Pro; I owned the 2 Pro longer than the 3 Pro.
The KQi2 Pro frequently sells on Amazon and the NIU site for around $450; I bought mine for $445 from Amazon but I've seen them as cheap as $430 on the NIU site.
The KQi3 Pro is hardly ever on sale but if you are going to buy one, I would rather get the KQi3 Max; better speed and range. AND the KQi3 Max frequently goes on sale and sells for the same price as the 3 Pro. In fact, they are the same price ($799) on the NIU site and on Amazon right now.

I was so bothered that I was just short of getting the 3 but after getting the 2 it’s not a big enough deal the looks of the 3 are a little more my style but the 2 is pretty much the same. One thing I notice is the motor on the 2 has more to offer and they need to make an up date to give you the option to utilize this especially with added restistance like weight carrying lots of stuff WIND and hills. If the weather is cold and this goes for any of these electric things you almost need another battery to swap for extra milage even with the weight added it’s well worth it idk if this scooter is able to do this and another reason is because it takes so long to charge depending on what your doing. With more acces to rather real potential of the motor the extra weight won’t be an issue and really still isn’t for the most part but travel light to avoid the risk of losing top speed and range. You can lower the tire pressure a little for for a less jolting ride but that effects range and all that as well by a little. Just sometimes there’s areas that jolt too much and it gets to my head but usually it’s fine and nothings a deal breaker.

Would love the power of these but with the build of a Glion dolly escooter. I sacrificed the tedium of air filled tires for the harder honeycomb ones. LA’s tectonically challenged streets will beat Cleveland ANYDAY. Glion is the most efficient escooter I’ve ever owned.

I am going to get the
KQI3 Max it has a 450 watt motor and can unlock the 20 mph speeds.
I think NIU makes nice scooters.
