Medication does not help kids with ADHD learn

The main goal my kid is on adhd meds is not to learn more. It is so he stops being punished by the teachers for adhd behavioral symptoms which he physiologically cannot control. There are other studies that show that children with unmedicated adhd are continually punished and that leads to low self-esteem and rebelliousness. The constant mistreatment of kids with adhd in the school setting hurts the mental health of these kids and leads to worse outcomes down the road like dropping out of school and trouble with the law.
