The sum is of Ex:-1.3 not 1.4

Where is that theorem if 1/2 divides a square, then 1/2 divides a. We have, if p divided a square, then p divides a, where p is a prime number. This is derived from Fundamental theorem of Arithmetic. Please explain. I think we have write 1/root 2 as 1/2 times 'root 2' and prove it so that we contradict that 'root 2' is irrational. Hope you understand.
