The trick is to undercook the onions. Everybody is going to get to know each other in the pot.

Just found this recipe literally 3 days ago and it was a blessing because I actually needed a chili to make for a cook off for church. I cooked the meat with the tomato paste then put everything into a crockpot to simmer on high for 4 hours. First time I entered a chili cook off and it was the first I won. Thanks Pete

Make that 80 bud!! I won first place with this recipe at work. Only thing I changed was fresh diced tomatoes and homemade tomato sauce from the garden. Thank you so much!!!

Family history says that a great uncle’s recipe was sold to Williams but he left out one spice. It’s the family secret it takes the bitterness out of the seasoning blend. I honestly don’t know how much is true but my great uncle did write a cookbook that includes the complete recipe for the seasoning used add a dash of cinnamon and you won’t taste it but it removes the bitter from the chili powder. Try it sometime 😉you won’t be disappointed.

Three pound of beef. Brown and drained.
6 oz of tomato paste.
One pound of breakfast sausage. Do not drain.
3 oz Williams
One large onion
3 fresh jalpos
6 cloves minced garlic
44 oz diced tomato’s
4 oz hatch green chilies
44 oz of tomato sauce
Let it simmer 1 hour with the lid on.
Then add three cans of bushes chili magic
Let simmer for at least 30 more min

I looked and looked for this- so here you go!
My hubs made this last year and it’s amazing!

I put Bush’s campfire chili magic in my chili for the first time because Pete recommended, and it came out absolutely delicious. Now, chili magic will always be used henceforth. You rock, Pete 🤘 🔥

I hope Pete reads these comments. I’m no chef whatsoever but I decided to compete in our Masonic Lodge Chili Cookoff a couple of weeks ago and I came in FIRST place!! There😂 were 16 entrants and 4 judges with a complicated numerical scoring system. I played this reel so many times that I know it by heart! I followed it exactly!
