Short answer. NO anything with mass cannot travel light speed or faster. It would be instantly destroyed and ripped by the force it is receiving.

Can't we still travel at the speed of light to the point that you're only a second behind the actual speed of light?

Even at light speed, a light year is still a year. So we should even go faster than that. Let's say we manage to travel at 2× light speed. This would let us reach a earth like planet like teegarden b in 6 years! Also according to Einstein's theory of time, the astronouts will not have aged that much, while everyone on earth went 6 years into the future.
