I recommend fountain pens for MD or Midori paper as shown here. Midori is really good at showing off the colors of the ink.

I used to work for a fountain pen company and can confirm, MD paper is a joy to write on. We would use it to test our nibs and tuning, or as a tester for customers at trade shows.

I use the MD paper pad (?) for drawing
It glides so smoothhhh 🥰

I really like the MD journals paper I use them for drawing mainly. One thing I will say is the paper is really smooth and doesn’t absorb very well. Pencils smudge a good amount and definitely aren’t good for things like paint pens, water colour and stuff like that. And some pens if you aren’t careful smudge very easily. Just something to consider when buying 😌
