Great video! I will only say to those on the fence - definitely check out both in person. Hold them physically to see if those sizes appeal to you. I was initially going to order the 12.9 inch, but got a chance to see last year's models side by side (to get an idea of size). I found the 12.9 very uncomfortable to use for my use (primarily for browsing and watching videos) - I like to lie on the couch and found the 11 inch size great for doing so. The fact that I also have a MacBook Pro also made the decision easier as I just find working on my MBP is way better than using the iPad (due to MacOS). YMMV!

Another tip is that the XDR display of the bigger iPad would make a nice second display for your Mac using Sidecar. So if you have the new MacBook Air, just throw this in your backpack with it and you have two displays on the road.

I own my iPad Pro with 128 gigs +magic keyboard case. and ı have to say THERE ıs NO need for 512 gigs though it has been my laptop replacement. id also argue that 256 is more than fine.

I use mine as a non-professional use laptop replacement.

In other words…..a laptop for use at home to browse the web, play music through earphones on a Sunday morning, watch content on Apple TV / Netflix, etc…..so the display is VERY important…..I also like the ease of having the cellular connection when I’m out-and-about.

For that, the 12.9”, 256gb IPad with cellular is perfect. I have absolutely no need for massive storage or crazy amounts of RAM - I’ll never use them.

Please compare the new iPad to the 2018 iPad. I’m still using the 2018 iPad and I really don’t see a major reason to upgrade. I think a lot of us who have the 2018 would like to see a good side by side comparison.

I have survived on 128gb for video editing...i only use a maximum of 64gb for video and i only work on one project at a time so i bought more memory cards...tho if i had 256 i could have 2 video projects on my ipad at a time but 128 has been manageable

I just got a Macbook Pro 13" M1 with 16gb of RAM and 1TB storage. I'm gonna get an iPad Pro to use mainly for sidecar to act as a 2nd display. Would the baseline 11" model be sufficient? I use Logic Pro and Affinity Suite on my Macbook. Cheers 🤠

Well I really appreciate you’re advice regarding buying iPad Pro. I have found it very helpful. I’m going for the 11” as I do really like the portability of the device. XDR Display I’m sure will be awesome but when it comes to watching a film I prefer to watch on a OLED 4K display that costs less than the 1tb iPad Pro with accessories 🤔

Why is 128GB not enough? Just use an external SSD for videoediting. Lumafusion already confirmed that editing from external hard drives will be possible with their upcomming update, so it would be a joke if finalcut won't be able to do so too...
