I actually just not the bullet and bought a new M2 iPad Pro 12.9”.

And I love it. I upgraded from an iPad Air2, so it’s a huge improvement.

So far I’ve been using it for music. I’ve used my iPad Air to replace sheet music for years, but the bigger screen makes it really nice. It’s about the same size as most printed sheet music.

This is my first iPad that can use the Apple Pencil, and using that on the fly to mark up my digitized sheet music is amazing.

Although I haven’t had it long enough tondo any serious recording, I did connect my audio interface and did some test recording to see how it works and it’s really nice. So much nicer than recording on my old MacBook.

And for more mundane things like watching movies and surfing the web the screen on this thing is absolutely beautiful.

So far I’m very happy with it.

I bought the iPad Gen 9 just a month ago, and I am actually happy with its performance. I regularly use it for browsing and streaming on Netflix, and also on YouTube to watch the latest videos from this channel.

Planning on getting the M2 12.9 iPad Pro, this will be my first iPad, planning on using it as a laptop replacement when I don’t want to carry my MBP. Also want to do some music production work, will be interesting to see how far it can be pushed. I don’t think it can realistically replace a MBP but perhaps I can offload some lighter or simpler work to it.
