I may have mentioned that you can take calls even if you are on different WiFi but you cannot. If the phone is not connected via bluetooth they should be on the same wifi to receive normal calls.

Facetime audio and other notifications work on different WiFi.

Since I gave my iPad to my wife last week, I've been fully out of the Apple ecosystem. I really like the interoperability and openness of Android. USB-C, Qi, PPS, sideloading apps, default apps - all make it easy for me to use my phone rather than have my phone use me. It's pretty great to choose between manufacturers, even if it's just Samsung, Google, and OnePlus in the US.

Few things that I would like to add being an original Galaxy Watch user for 4-5 years as well.

1. You must be getting this much battery life because of your low usage but in my experience, Galaxy Watch lasts for around 1.5-2 days. Smartwatch are known for its poor battery life and I don't see that changing anytime soon

2. The big downside of Galaxy Watch in my opinion is the lack of apps. Now I am not sure if that changes with WearOS. With Galaxy Watch, you have few pre-installed apps that you can use and that's it. The rest are either not present or are super buggy.

3. While reverse wireless charging is a good to have but it is definitely not must. I rarely see myself charging the original Galaxy Watch using this feature. It's because it's not user friendly. You need to flip the phone, and put your watch on it (meaning you would not be able to use the phone and if it's silent accidentally, you would end up missing important notifications). Furthermore, your phone gets heated quickly.

In the end, it all depends on which ecosystem you are. But tbh, I would wish Galaxy Watch to have the same app support and user experience as that of Apple Watch.

Regarding smartwatches in general, I think it is a less useful gadget one can add to the list of devices you have to charge almost everyday.
The notifications like you mentioned is definitely a positive point along with tracking but the price at which premium watches are offered without any offers coupled with poor battery life in general is a no go. Having used a Moto 360 gen 2 some 5 years back and then getting an analog watch for EDC felt like a right thing.

I got excited by Apple watch ultra but I am sure Apple will come with even fancier next version of it. The main problem I find in these premium smartwatches and even TWS earbuds is they come with small batteries and once their batteries run out, they all become expensive junk.

I am using apple watch series 3 gps since 2 yrs..bought it from flipkart at around 14k on offer. It works fine even now and it has got all the basic features.. it really makes little sense to buy such expensive watches at 30k - 40k unless you specifically need them for some purpose

For the cellular model, the postpaid only rule apply to all carriers or is it specific to only one carrier like Airtel? Does it work with Jio prepaid?

My gf has se2 over the S7, simply - cheaper - does almost everything that S7 does. ECG is not there, but isn't much needed too for her. Overall, it works like a charm. Like 299$ vs 530$ ( ofcourse you can/should get the SE2 )

Right now using Milanese one with stainless steel, you should be too careful, it gets scratches so easily even while having tea.
