In one video I watched the guy broke panels, had wire over the top of pillars and by the end of it, he plugged it into the lighter as he said you normally have phone cables hanging in a car what is an extra one or two!! Thanks so much for your video - today I successfully installed my rear camera dash cam for my Honda Accord (2002) hatchback. Never done anything like this before but thanks to your video I had the confidence to snap off the interior trim panels just how you said to do it :)
The hardest part for me by far was threading the wires through the rubber gaiter thingy - the finger strength to do that was enormous and my fingers still hurt as it required so much pressure to push those dash cam cables through - but definitely the trick you showed with WD40 helped massively.

In my case, I couldn't find any way to get the cables into the cabin of the car so I drilled a hole to achieve that. Once in, the donkey work had been done and the excess cable was easy to hide up in the roof lining.

Once again, many, many thanks - if it wasn't for your video, I definitely would not have attempted this job at all.

A 100% clean install job with no exposed wires at all, all thanks to you.

Thanks PJ. for the front Q3 install, would be great help if you can show the rear installation on the Q3. From this current video, I've notice many parts/trim that is different from the Q3 and I am not comfortable taking it apart without breaking any tabs or clips. Perhaps you can make another updated Q3 rear installation?

Fantastic detail and a great help, but I was lost trying to fit a Nextbase 322gw camera to my Ford S-Max windscreen as the lump that controls camera etc behind the rear view mirror obscures quite a lot of the screen, where can I mount the camera .I would be most grateful for your advice Dan

Hi It's now 2024 I thought you had to conect the rear camera to the reversing light, unless modern cameras don't have too. Great explanation. Regards welshman2081

I have followed your vedio conecting up the cameras, what is missing for me, I have iiwey cameras, the rear cable has a red loose cable, I assume this has to be cannected to the rear reversing light,

were in the boot do I find the cable for the reversing light on my 2009 ford focus, I would appreciate if you could assit me. welshman 744

I'm currently stuck on how to keep the excessive cable wire. It's very long and i tried to hide it behind the rear pillar, i unable to close or lock back in the pillar cover. I am not sure where to keep the excessive cable.
