So sorry about this video being blurry, I don't know what was wrong with my camera. There's still plenty of good info in it so I hope you are able to still focus. If you have any questions on the new international shipping program please feel free to comment them down below. I am personally very excited about and think ebay has hit a home run here.

Jeez, this almost sounds like it is better to sell your items to buyers outside the U.S. than inside the U.S., because it will be harder for scammers to take advantage of you, and it's as if all those extra fees you pay on eBay serve as insurance for you against international scammers.

as a uk buyer buying from usa, if i paid VAT on the ebay auction, do i need to pay a second VAT to royal mail for when it comes to uk? or did the VAT i paid on the auction cover it.
i wish i can just pay it all on ebay and not wait until customs messages me to pay to release it

eBay changed me from GSP to their standard international program instead of this new program - I can’t figure out how to sign up for the new program

I actually never had a issue with GSP and return Probably 1 issue and ebay took care of it.

Thanks for explaining this.. I was so worried, thinking I would have to jack up my shipping prices, but I live in Illinois, so it should actually benefit me, if I'm understanding correctly.

Just sold an item that shipped to NJ (I'm in Michigan). Paid high fees on $$ shipping AND an extra fee because buyers address is in South Korea. I didn't even know eBay could change our preferred shipping settings and decide for us that we should sell internationally. Surprise! Pay extra! I opted out. I don't want to sell internationally for several reasons. I should be able to have that choice. Feels like a breach of contract to me.

I’m writing this as I watch the video. Thank you in advance. I just received a message from eBay, and it sounds like this new option is going to be mandatory now. I’ve only done global once, and it was a disaster. So I’ve never included it as an option. Is it not optional now? Meaning anything listed will automatically, whether you want it or not, offer buyers the international shipping option?

Thank you!

Why does a small and light box cost almost $60 via eBay International Shipping to the EU, not even including VAT and customs charges?!

You mention seller's getting a surcharge if the weight is inaccurate, resulting in a higher shipping price than what the buyer paid. Have you found this to be the case? I havent seen that mentioned on ebay's program description page.

For myself the shipping cost for the new eBay International Shipping is on average $10.00 more than the older eBay International standard shipping. I was wondering if other sellers are seeing this difference too?

I sold a bundle of Tim Holtz items to a person on Canada, to tell you the truth I didn’t even pay attention where it was the buyers address it just that it was going to Illinois, so after receiving the package the buyer sent me a message saying that she got charged $40.00 extra when picking it up, she was blaming me but I told her I didn’t have control over her country policies but she insisted it was on me because I didn’t stipulated on the listing 😮I was like stipulated what? Can please someone explain it they know, I kind of new on eBay and don’t know much
