In this mini-lesson we take a look at the broken triplet shuffle. This is another shuffle that Jeff Porcaro put to great use. I love this shuffle because it has some of the same intricacies as the Purdie Shuffle.

Dig the camera on the left foot. Great info for beginners who don't know what to do with that foot. How about a video of combining some of these shuffle patterns into a form? Lovin' the vids! Thanks.

Hey Stanton!I love your drumming, your books, and lessons! I've seen you perform live too! You're a great ambassador for the drums, and Nola! Thank you! One friendly suggestion; see a good masseuse, chiropractor, and/or physical therapist to work on your neck, shoulders, and posture. You're chops are loose, but you look really tight in those areas which visually takes some of the swing out of your performance, to say nothing of causing long term issues down the road. The late, great Buddy Rich had horrible back issues. I'm not a healthcare provider, or promoting anybody, I just love what you have gifted to the world, and think you'll swing better, and happier for longer with little attention to your own health, and comfort. Love you, brother!

I'm tired of paying for broken triplets. I want working triplets.
