We acknowledge most fans love the original long versions of these tracks - we do too - but thought this was a fun project. Tracks were trimmed down from the longer original sessions and edited into shorter more listenable versions. Focus on songs that were rarely performed live or rehearsed here differently than (most) live versions or the studio release. As these rehearsals were recorded over several years in varying quality, we hope we have achieved a certain level of uniformity that should make it an enjoyable experience.

Hearing him in rehearsal/soundcheck reveals his true prowess: no multiple takes, or studio technology to lean on; just pure musicianship at it’s highest form…

The fact that some of these songs sound better than the final recorded versions really speaks to the depth of his musicality…

Strange Relationship is funky as hell with a cool beat and great vocal arrangement. I swear, this collection of recordings is better than most of his official albums!! It's full of incredible takes of some of his best material!! Some I've never heard before!! Wish I could have had this in my collection back in the day!!
