I had an s60 which I loved but traded it in a week ago for an xc60. LOVE LOVE IT!!! I have been traveling and it’s the best decision yet! I love the look and feel of the Volvo as compared to
competition. I looked at a BMW X3, jaguar and Porshe Macan. For the price point, I am completely satisfied.

my first Volvo is an XC40 R design and I LOVE IT! it may not be the fastest or quickest car but its damn practical and comfortable and is very capable for everyday commuting and road trips!

Volvo really makes a car that’s a cut above the competition. Then again, they’ve always been that way. Like the content, very informative

You should test the T8 model. I just bought one. 400hp and electric when you want it. Best car I’ve ever owned.

Disappointed is an understatement: April 27, 2022, We bought a 2022 Volvo XC60 R-Design last week, drove it home from Nashville to Bowling Green, KY ( We ordered before Thanksgiving and custom ordered and we were excited when it arrived 5 months later), however and the the next day it didn't start and sat stuck in our garage...it took 3 days to get Volvo to tow it back to the dealership, because the new XC60 Volvo has no way to shift into neutral and the tires won't roll. It took 3 two-truk operators and dozens of calls to Volvo On Call, and all 3 tow-truck operators thought they could get the XC60 into neutral, and even the trick that Volvo operators stated to the 3rd driver, did not allow the Volvo to stay in neutral, it kept defaulting back to lock, thus making this car extremely vulnerable in a situation that warrants pushing the vehicle to a safer spot (it will not move if the battery is dead, or the car won't start). The Dealership had to reboot the computer on the new XC60 with less than 80 miles in order to get the XC60 to start and for the keyless keys to work, and they had no logical explanation on why the Volvo would not start, other than it needed a software update....(my phone needs that about every two months). Volvo of Nashville owner/slash general manager refused to talk to me, thus we lost confidence and trust in the car and the dealership for this $67K vehicle. Volvo of Nashville now has possession of the 3 ton paper-weight and time ticking bomb of not starting, and we are in the process of trying to get our monies back. Be ware of this experience and we are still driving our 2011 Mercedes GLK w/ 127K miles which has never had a single car issue, other than having to reupholster the driver seat, and routine maintenance.

That T8 powertrain is no joke... My grandma has the T8 Inscription Plug-In Hybrid Extended Range with the 455HP output and the only reason why she got it was because it was the only "Red" car on the lot... Little did she know that car has 4.1 0-60. I really like the conservative and minimalist look of Volvo interiors but I wish they incroporated more ambient lighting and expanded on their wool interiors to have come different color options. A silver Volvo S60 with a red wool interior with red alcantara trim and BMW-style ambient lighting would look insane!

One of the few SUV's I would consider and would pay for the Polestar tune. Thanks for this review, I really enjoy your channel.

You are so right about that it doesnt sound like a four cillender. Especially if you dont push it too much, so it is low in RPM, it sounds like the classic 5 cillinder Volvo we like so much

I’ve owned a 2019 Volvo xc40, I currently own a 2021 xc60: and trust me- after a week or so the screen is far from bad. He was honest, and I appreciate that, but once you get to know the system it’s SO EASY. I’ve owned a 2010 Lexus RX bf my xc40 and the system is basiclaly as simple as that. It’s intuitive and easy to operate and most of the functions you are going to be dealing with while driving are easily accessible so it’s not that big of an issue :)

Kind of funny ... As a XC60 owner (T8, R) I actually find the biggest plus is the Android system. Don't care about Apple products / integration, my phone(s) is/are Android, so I feel right at home. There are a few quirks, a few things I wish would have been done differently, but overall I would not want to go for another car with a non-Android setup (sorry Subaru, my next one will be a XC40 ;-)) And yes, I got over the reluctance to talk to my car ... voice control really works ... well.

Great presentation!

Which exterior grey shade is that? And how the interior color is named? Is that grey interior or cream? I'm not sure.

Excellent review. Very honest - you point out both the positives and negatives and weren’t afraid to be critical when appropriate.

The screen on the 2022 is such a let down, we went from a 2019 XC60 to a 2022 (MY)XC60, got it in December and we’re swapping it already as it has so much glitches, it could be so good but it’s been released far too soon, the on call all doesn’t work with it, there is no option to turn start stop off, the screen/system crashes and goes black all the time….

Is the new infotainment really sluggish and laggy to use? The old Sensus seemed to be more fluid?

Had a 2018 Audi Q5 that my wife loved. Looking to get into another compact/midsized SUV for her. Just test drove a ‘25 XC60 T8 Ultra & ‘25 XC60 B5 Base & while there were nice features she felt the Audi blew away both Volvo’s on handling, road noise & smoothness

Not to rag down on the review, it was actually very good pointing out various points positive with common sense intact, opposite to most spoiled "reviewers".
Even if no carmanufactuer completely can avoid fashions or new technic, Volvo, as long it last in the long run dont care about oldschool as long it still rely on safety more than fashion.
What i mean is the day someone even at daytime can be aware of a indicator
(both brakelights and turnsignals) on the car(s) ahead as early as possible for turns - especially leftturns
every split second counts. At redlights or pile-ups Brakelights that may be seen 3-4 cars ahead can save many crashes or maybe even lifes, though i admit some brakelights aimed straight to your eyes waiting for a redlight is a damn pain ; ).

The MB grill reference is understandable as you said it, but i haven't thought about it
(im a true copy observer by principles) so if thats the case or not they by master design made that grill
to what they needed, and they made it sophisticated in all its vulgarity.

How cocky i may have sounded it was not intentional, english is not my native language.
