Can A Pharmacist Refuse To Fill A Prescription? - Know Some Of The Reasons

Is the pharmacist required to fill my prescription?
Some of the reasons a pharmacist may refuse to fill a prescription include:

the pharmacist is concerned that the medication will interact badly with another drug you are taking;
the pharmacist believes that an excessive quantity has been prescribed; or
the pharmacist has an indication that the prescription wasn't issued by the doctor whose name appears on the prescription.
It is the responsibility of the pharmacist to contact the doctor for clarification if they have any questions about the medical correctness or legality of a prescription. By doing this, pharmacists perform a vital, final check prior to your taking the medication.

I actually just did this. I think I appeared desperate. I wish he would have told me the truth -tonight was "do you know your insurance doesn't cover this" and next up was "we are out of this I will have to order it tomorrow." I only went to CVS because they accepted a good RX card and they are the cheapest. I think this will be the end for me and CVS. Please don't make the same mistakes I did. Phil the Pharmacist really knows what he is talking about.

Question: Can they refuse without even accessing your file???… I was in the pharmacy 20 minutes before closing in line, after he helped the person in front of me, it was two minutes after closing and he put up the closed sign as if I wasn’t there and he refused to help me…. He didn’t even know what I was there for and didn’t ask for any of my info. What are your thoughts?
