As a pharmacist, I have had this happen to me. Missed a call from the doc while already on the phone. 2 docs spoke and decided the best way to get a hold of me was to order Cipro and I would call them. Guess what, it worked.

i remember as a teen i got out of the psych ward, and while picking up the meds for what id already been on for a week there (and feeling dizzy and getting heart palpitations which they said was anxiety) the pharmacist told my mom he wouldn't fill both together because they would cause heart failure.

My first real job was at a drugstore. One time, I saw the pharmacist talk to a patient about side effects, scribble a note and pass it to me, and then tell the patient to go back and ask their doctor for a different medicine. The note said they were clearly allergic and to NEVER let them have it again. Pharmacists know more about your meds than your doctor does, believe me!

YES!!! Having worked at a 24/hr pharmacy that regularly had to compensate for the cancer center forgetting to fill meds and 3 different EDs, pharmacists are freaking superheroes that don't get nearly enough credit!

As a pharmacist, I adore this. We really do feel so appreciated in the hospital, but people should be more appreciative of their local community pharmacists too! The chains are destroying the love and individuality in the industry.
