HOW DOES LSD (ACID) WORK?
Показать описание
DO YOU KNOW WHAT LSD DOES TO THE BRAIN? LET ME TELL YOU! LSD (also known as Acid) is a psychedelic drug that mimics the happiness hormone Serotonin, so it stimulates a happy and excited feeling in the user. It also reduces activity in the thalamus and prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is usually responsible for information organisation.
With reduced organisation, signals flow freely throughout the brain, causing a trip in the user. Side effects include nausea, sweating, anxiety, hallucinations and an increase in hear rate and body temperature. On the upside, LSD is not an addictive drug.
If somebody is having a bad trip on LSD, the best thing you can do is take them to a calm, safe space, talk them through it and offer them mental support. If this is ineffective, take them to a hospital where they can be kept safe until the drug is gone from their system.
Unfortunately, LSD is an illicit drug, so it is not regulated during production and sale. As a result, it is difficult to know the exact concentration of the drug, making it easy to overdose. Furthermore, little research has been conducted regarding LSD, so not alot is known about this drug. Hopefully more research is done in the future so people can access useful information about this drug and it's benefits and side effects.
