Thanks for the video! To maximize productivity, I try to do the following things:
- Since I work remotely from home, I try not to mix personal and working environments (whenever I can) - When I work at the same place where I rest, eat, or sleep, I noticed that productivity linearly decreases with time - similarly to your graph :D
- Set clear goals ON PAPER - Lately, I've been using a combination of Tim Ferriss's advice about having 1-2 critical tasks/day that need to be done and Jake Knapp's "Burner list", and it helps focus a lot throughout the week. This also applies for team meetings and agendas - when I know what I will be doing in my team in advance or the team, this helps to be productive during the meetings/workshops.
- Not rescheduling/postponing other activities because of work = increased productivity

Hi there, one of the things that have probe to be efficient for me is to wake up early (4:00 am) every day and study the first two to three hours of the day, that's my personal 1% improvement, personally helps a lot, in the past I did try to do it at nights but 50% of the times I were end up working or going out with friends or even just watching a movie because I was tired or just don't want to push my mind anymore. So basically (rationalizing) what I did was to move my time to make that 1% daily improvement to first thing on my morning (which starts at 4:00 am), so no matter what happen I will keep improving 1% daily. This time can be used to workout, read, make onlines course, watch TED talks, or anything that contribute to my learning. Notice that at that time most people is sleeping, and if there are not they will likely not going to send you a message because they may think that you are sleeping too. So it's my real free time, free from outside distraction and work as well.

What are your thoughts about team tools for productivity such as: Slack, Trello, Jira, etc. ?

Great content guys! I time box everything... It took a while to get into the flow, but allocating time per task and sticking to it keeps me focussed. I also quit my email client after 9am and check it after lunch. Combining these with kanban board (MS Planner), I'm able to get through the important stuff and ignore the noise for the most part.

I truly believe that little changes can be controlled and have a better effect than one big bang change..as folks are always resistant to change! Thanks Johnathan for this lovely little video! Using this as our next buzz session topic in office :)

Strongly recommend reading Atomic Books, there's much more to learn apart from this video on marginal growth.

One approach in the Book Deep Work is to focus 15 minutes or more without any distractions. After that set time you will usually work longer, because you are too focused to stop. Kind of a trojan horse

good one but a bit overexplained, lots of repetitive phrases. could be explained in half of the time. my gut feeling is... try aiming for 6 or 7 minutes.
