You can check if your Docs are fake if the logo is placed incorrectly, and if the size and font are different. You can also check for a misspelling since most fake brands do not bother with this. Aside from the logo, you will also find a white label on the side of the original Dr. Martens box.

New Dr. Martens shoes are packaged in a sturdy shoe box with the Dr Martens logo on the lid and side. Check the size, font and placement of the logos carefully.

New Dr. Martens often have a yellow inspection sticker, but its presence isn’t a guaranteed indicator of authenticity. While the sticker is a common sight, particularly on boots near the ankle or tongue, there are instances where genuine Docs might lack it

Dr Martens shoes detail the size and product code on the inside upper of the shoes. It should contain basic information. Check that these details match those found on the shoe box label.

2) New Dr. Martens often have a yellow inspection sticker, but its presence isn’t a guaranteed indicator of authenticity. While the sticker is a common sight, particularly on boots near the ankle or tongue, there are instances where genuine Docs might lack it.

3) Seek out typos on the "Dr. Martens" logo inside the shoe, as many knock-offs will misspell the brand.

The iconic Dr. Martens logo should be clearly embossed on the heel or backstrap of the boots. Genuine logos will be sharp, precise, and well-defined. Counterfeit logos, on the other hand, may appear blurry, off-center, or distorted.

Had a Chinese made pair of docs for years. They have basically just remade them to look exactly the same as real ones. They have some small differences but they are pretty well made for the price this is what happens when you outsource to china…

At 3:16 in the video which one is fake: the one on the left OR the one on the right?

I got used ones made in Vietnam. Everything checks put except the inner soles are removable with a harder surface underneath. Is this normal?

Zalora says that they only sell authentic shoes. I hope, it's the same with DMs. Next month, I will buy dr martens jadon ll star pink clash. Most likely, it's made in Asia. I hope it will lasts even for 5 years. But in our divisorias here in the Philippines, they sell pirated versions of DM's which are 3 times cheaper than the original. I'm not wealthy but I hate pirated stuff. They cause bankrupcy to other companies. And I think, that's one of the reason why DM had dec8ded to leave our country.

Bought my Dr. Martens second hand. I checked the outer stitches and everything from your video, it suits. All good. BUT, when it comes to inner sole, there is no logo at all. So i'm confused now. And mine are Made in Thailand. Hmmmm. I don't know why, but outer leather material looks like it's plastic, it's a weird feeling. I don't have any experiences with leather anymore, so i have no idea how it should look and feel and smell like!

Well it is obvious to spot boots that don't pretend to be dr martens. The problem is with these that they also have the logo, the engravings and everything and pretend to be original.

I have some that look like Docs, they don't look like knock offs, but not the real deal, cause no logo stamp anywhere.
They are so comfortable and look really good.
Does anyone know what Ao Te Lian is? LOL it's on the inside tongue.
