Usually when the term "elo hell" is brought up, it refers to not beeing able to get out of lower ranks because your teammates in these lower ranks are bad players that hold you back from climbing. I really like what you did there with using the term "elo hell" to refer to people that are stuck in a certain rank without specificly calling out the teammates for that but also you explained with the 40/40/20 rule that all those games that you uncontrollably lose due to bad teammates, disconnects ect. also applies to the other team. That shows that this meaning of "elo hell" where people say: "I cant climb because I always get bad teammates and throwers and the enemy team always gets the insane smurfs." doesent actually make sense because it is about equally as likely that things are just the other way around. This is also a psycholgic problem in general that we will remeber bad things happening to us way better than good things (or bad things happening to the enemy team in this chase).
Elo hell how it's typically used is just a toxic excuse for players that they are not good enough to go up in ranked to blame things that are outside of there control and thats why I think that knowing this 40/40/20 rule is so important because this rule is about thinking about things you can control and trying to improve on those instead of getting defensive and blaming your own faults on uncontrolable forces.
After all the arguably most important factor to grow as a player and as a person in general is always your mindset.

Val needs more to do than comp and comp practice. It's a fun game, but if it's not comp you get more unfair rank wise games, toxic players, or e daters. Spike rush gets no updates and no friends play valorant for me to play with.

I say I'm in Elo hell bassically because Idk why I know I have gotten better over the past few months but I still can't escape my rank, and everyone who watches me play would say I'm a higher rank and for some reason by the endof the season when I might have gone up a rank or two the season ends and in resets me, or then I get paired up against players way past my elo, and I come see these videos and idk what to do because I'm pretty good at everything these low elo tips videos say, I have gotten better, I do grind valorant, I'm still the same rank, That's what I call elo hell

I managed to escape Iron and bronze in solo am now Silver since I'm still new in silver I can't kill alot in some games kinda rare I do believe I'm still improving

Here is my two cents with elo hell. IF you are the decent player you think you are. You should be able to solo q to diamond within a few days. After that I think having a duo is a necesity for consistency. Atleast the second part is true for me. Being stuck in any rank below diamond is 100% on you.
