3D Opengl Game development log videos with commentary about my indie Java RPG game.

This week I continue work on the combat system and add our first proper mob into the game!

I will try to release one video each week to keep you up to date with everything I'm working on :)

The game is written in Java, and uses LWJGL and the Opengl API.

I'm really excited to see the end project. Right now the game play looks epic and when you work with a 3rd artist theres no doubt it'll be epic. Your extremely lucky (or Maybee I'm Un lucky) to have the patience for all of this! Good luck and I'm excited to see your the final product!

I know this is not needed now but it would be awesome if you add like capes and magic staffs with elemental animation PS i think the bow animation worked out great

suggestion: make some swords hit faster than others, but the faster the weapon is the less damage its gonna do? =D

Hey. I am trying to implement animations into my engine (from rigged models in Blender). I am using .obj files to represent static models, but they don't support animation. Would you mind sharing what format your animated models are stored in?

How do you find the time to add all this?

Do you ever plan on significantly increasing/remodling the graphics? I know your focused on gameplay but the shapes and square characters kind of ruin the epicness of your gameplay
