Monarchy is the natural form of Government. it's endurance and longevity prove it's worth. democracies and Republics are short lived and Lea to dictatorship.

Glad to see there are more people like me! Thomas Hobbes was very persuasive in his Leviathan. Good thing we still have common sense for the small minority we have here. That is why I had a slight admiration for Catholic monarchies only because the king/queen has to answer to someone above their interests. They still need to bow to the popes and kiss that ring.

What’s ironic about the Revolutionary War as well, was that a lot of the Acts that were enacted on the colonies, were suggested and instituted by the Parliament.

Also, it should be noted that there is a reason why one popular cry was “no taxation without representation”. That was the central issue, the Parliament basically refused to allow the Colonies to have representation in the Parliament. Just like they did with Ireland (and several other parts of the British Empire), despite it probably being the best way to mitigate a lot of the grief going on back then.

Just make it mandatory that the monarchy marry someone from the poorer towns as opposed to other royalty. This solves both the issue of rigid class and inbreeding in the royal family. And it’s humane since they’d have a huge selection pool, and an additional incentive to raise the standard of living starting at the bottom, since they’d always have a spousal connection to the poorest places.

In my humble opinion, Absolute Monarchy is the only real form of monarchy. Constitutional "Monarchy" is Republicanism with some monarchistic elements...

For everyone who want to read about a good modern monachie, shoud read about Willhelm II.
He was very liberal and wanted to reform germany into a the most modern and idustrial nation, but his idea of a "Social Kaisertum" was so hated by the democratic nations that they did everthing to isolate it, because the know they coudn't compair.

I agree with you on the monarchy form of gov't. However, The offspring of a monarch does not automatically become the next monarch, that is a kingship. There is a difference between a monarch and a king. Moses was a monarch chosen by God and when the Isrealites clamored for a king, God was upset. Why? Because this demonstrated that the Isrealites had lost trust in God as they wanted the offspring of the monarch to be their next monarch. They could not trust God to choose their monarch for them.
