$15 Xbox 360 Restoration

In this video, I clean and restore a Xbox 360 I bought for $15 at a thrift store.

Those washers did more damage rather then fix the problem. If you plan on using this system or even care, buy a set of xclamps and replace those washers.

BTW I would get rid of those screws and replace them with the factory X-Clamps since the bolt mod is generally considered bad. Awesome restore though it looks great

Aw man. Someone bolt modded it. Usually there are x clamps holding in the heat sinks. That is also why the thermal paste was newer

GameStop does unnecessary mods to the Xbox - replace those screws with the correct xclamps and remove the fan speed mod and you’ll have an happy Xbox

Bro, that xbox has a bolt mod done to it. Search up why the bolt mod on xbox 360 is bad it will explain more.

the heat sinks should be held on by x clamps, that xbox has been bolt modded and the motherboard can warp over time making it permanently broken.

You should never replace the X clamps they are there to help the board stay sturdy with the x clamps it will bend and flex overtime and will destroy it faster, there is a reason the x clamps are there and it’s important to put the x clamps back

My Xbox 360 restoration didn't go that well, all the plastic tabs broke, the plastic was too brittle, the DVD ROM was no fix after a boiled the rubber and closed the console, it still getting stuck.

Id recommend not using power tools to tighten a heatsink and maybe try talking in a normal voice instead of articulating so harshly, but i guess you did that on purpose.
And i think the video would benefit of grouping all the e.g. the fan footage one after the other instead of doing it all chronologically.
Other than that great vid, just wanted to give some feedback, its not bad in any way :)
