2007, I was just a teen then. Basically a kid. My squad and I were under heavy covenant fire, when suddenly a 3/4ths red ring appeared on that white Xbox 360. I held that 360 in my arms as it died right then and there.

I’ve never spoken about that moment until now...not even to my wife.

Red Ring'd 360 actually converted me to Playstation back in the day.

This is normally caused by the solder points at the base of the APU separating from the PCB for anyone curious. Sometimes a heat gun can resolve this issue, but usually requires a complete solder ball replacement which is a very tedious task.
