Gallien Krueger 800RB vs Legacy 500

Interesting Comparison . the Legacy had more cut and edge, the 800 had more natural compression and warmth . Both are fantastic, but the 800 wins for me.

Nice comparison, I have been looking for one! Thank you for this! I liked the GK 800RB a little better, but that might also be down to the differences in EQ settings. Sounded a little punchier and more musical. But still, they sound pretty similar to me. Did you set the amps as shown in the video? If so, did you try to dial in a similar sound?

Damn, whole way through I was loving Amp A and thought it was going to be an impossible to get 800rb lol. Always loved the 800rb, guess I'm picking up a Legacy! Thanks 😊.

I currently own a 91’ 400RB. Would you recommend a legacy 500 aswell?

Thank you for this. Been struggling to really dial in the true 800rb tone in my legacy head. Still hear the difference..that 800 is just so fat.
