I've used GK 210 combo for about 5 years now. Finally ready for an amp/cab set up for more flexibility. Picked up one of these and am really happy with it. The power paired with the cab options is really slick and the effects loop is great if you like using pre-amps and compression.

I recently brought this amp and its amazing! it sounded ok when played at home in a solo setting. I actually thought about returning it that is before I took it out to a gig. In a live band setting this amp is phenomenal... wow!! This amp cuts like a knife with definition, power and tone for days. My Aguilar AG700 is now a backup to this amp. My only gripe is I wish it came with a bag or at least a set of rack ears to further protect my investment.

I love it that they abandoned the bi-amping feature from the old 800RB. I wasted hours and hours....and HOURS trying to dial in a good bi-amp sound on my original 800RB. No matter how many ways I tweaked the Frequency crossover or experimented with multiple different cabinet combinations it always sounded best in full range only.

For a small form factor, I have a Bugera Veyron mosfet. That has two thousand watts peak and a GK like sound, but not as much booty as my GK.

I have only one question Gk legacy 800 or EBS reidmar 750 ? what do you think is better for different type of music (jazz/funk/reggae etc.)

I’ve got one of these, I’m not too impressed with it. I bought it so I wouldn’t have to drag my GK 1001RB around but I can’t seem to find a sound that I’m happy with. It’s very bland. There’s no biamp on it either. Regardless of what the video says, it sounds nothing like a Gallien-Krueger, there’s no growl, no attack. The distortion is noisy and squeals. I’ll just stick with my 1001 and use the 800 as a backup.

As I recall, GallienKrueger wanted to built a successor for the old 400/800/1001 RB series.
They failed. Maybe you are able to dial in a nice clean tone (show me an amp where this is not possible), but I miss the GK growl that came with the RB series. The overdrive is kinda Darkglass'ish and not bad. But I miss the signature growl that came with the turning of the Boost knob.
I am quite underwhelmed with the amp.

I love my Legacy 800. Great tone, great adjustability, and it looks pretty damn good too.
