Norton Nemesis V8 Rebuild - Episode 5

In this video im finishing off the engine strip by removing the cylinder liners and sorting out a few faults with the gearbox and alternator drive gears.

The Norton Nemeses is a pre production prototype that was made in the late 90's with claims of a 200+mph top speed from its 1500cc fuel injected V8 engine.
As far as I'm aware, this is the only bike that has survived but if any of you know of other bikes please leave a comment. This bike is owned by the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham UK has been on display as a non running exhibit for many years.

I have already worked on the bike last year getting the engine to run after a few rudimentary checks, new oil and batteries for series 12 of Henry Cole's "The Motorbike Show" where Henry rode it for a few miles up to around 50 mph, but it wasn't running very well and was leaking a lot of oil and coolant.

Episodes of "The Motorbike show" can be seen on itvx player on line and some shorter edits are available on Henrys YouTube channel.

Over the coming months I will be stripping the bike to sort out a few issues with the V8 engine and hopefully make it run and ride how it was intended 25 years ago.

Gotta love Allen's idea of "sorting a few problems" on an experimental bike that the builders gave up on. Man's a national treasure.

Who else gives it the thumbs up before watching .

Mr Millyard... watching you working is better than therapy. You're truly a blessing to the world of motorcycle engineering.

The fact that you could diagnose an improperly shaped cam plate for the selector mechanism is mindblowing to me. To say nothing of all your other wizardry. Thanks for these videos!

I like the way he never said, ‘some clown made this’ He gently points out the obvious errors and moves on.

By the time Allen has worked his magic, that engine will run better on 1 cylinder than it ever did on 8!

One man (admittedly very clever) in his shed puts a team of norton engineers to shame without saying a bad word about them, truly a genius engineer .

I can't believe the 16 minutes or so went by so quickly, I could have kept watching for hours. Most enjoyable.

I'm going to go vote for Milliards channel as nothing short of "Perfect", since theres no or due-dads. He simply tells something as it is.

How nobody snatched this man for a full fledged telly show yet is beyond me.

Why don't my family understand how cool I am watching Millyard videos? Heathens.

If only we had teachers and leaders in society like Allen. What an absolute treasure.

Just started watching this series of videos. I was involved in the design and production of the Radical V8 which used Hayabusa heads. You remind me very much of our design engineer Nick Walford who still works for them part time. I've been retired from Radical for a dozen years now and find your videos most therapeutic. Starting Radical Sportscars and designing their early cars using ZZR1100 Kawasaki and then Suzuki Hayabusa engines were exciting times. Keep them coming

Content like this is one of the few positives of YouTube.

Of all the channels on this platform this is probably the only one i see with no negative comments from viewers, this says a lot about the content.

As a guy who also spends hours cleaning, grinding, fitting, polishing, welding, repairing, etc., it's a pleasure to watch someone else work.. especially a wizard. Best to all

Allens probably the only Man who should be trusted with such a unique rebuild.😢
