Millyard Honda 374cc six cylinder engine First Start

preview_player
Показать описание
First test run of my 374cc six cylinder engine. I started making this engine in July 2017 from a pair of yamaha FZR250r engines. The crankshaft is completely remade from scratch and is pressed up using needle roller bearings for mains and big ends. I carried out all the work myself in my garage with minimal specialist tools or equipment. Next stage is to fit a radiator and run the engine up to operating temperature so I can set up the fuel air mixture.

Calling Allen Millyard a mechanical genius is such an understatement!

There are simply not enough superlatives to describe the excellence you achieve over and over again in your garage! Well done. Respect.

My god every time I watch this I get goose bumps, that must be the closest you can get to having a F1 engine in your front room. It’s just beautiful beyond words. This man has a skill which few people process. Many can operate the machines, weld, drill, screw thread, file, clean up and assemble but that cam shaft is wonderful. To get all those to move together and won’t to be with each other and sound so amazing is a triumph of British back yard engineering. I doubt anyone else exists that could do that with the hand tools he uses and the gauges he has available to ensure harmony.

This guy is an absolute genius..Seems incredible he makes these engines without drawings just completely in his head and a box of bits. If I had just 1% of his knowledge and skill I would die happy...Keep up the good work Allen.

When there's six carburettors in line, and the cylinders don't look any bigger than the carbies, you know it's going to be another amazing Millyard construction !!

I thought I was pretty handy with the spanners and can do most things on a engine but this is on another planet I feel quite inadequate now .best thing I've seen for a long long time

The first adjective in my mind when I heard that amazing engine was: "fierce." The best adjective to describe me after seeing this video is: "impressed."

His 7 cylinder BSA Rocket 3 with 2 Bantam and 2 M21 barrels all glued together with Gloy is superb. A combination of revs, torque and a smokey cluck cluck cluck from the Bantam barrels is to die for. Clever bleeder.
