Strange there is no tactic here, they just let everybody know what they are doing how they are preparing and while letting everyone else get prepared for what they are planning to do. Like giving several weeks notice. I don’t get it but I would want a tactical advantage by moving everything over at once and moving in sooner than later.

If Russia was going to invade, why would they give Ukraine so much time to prepare and form new alliances? Would a surprise attack be more effective?

Speaking as an Aussie from an outsiders point of view here. Hear me out. I AM NOT on russias side but when the american mainstream media beats the drums of war over the past 8 years 'Russia Russia Russia' rhetoric, I can see why Putin is paranoid if Ukraine wants to join NATO. Not excusing the behaviour but I can see why this is happening. That and there's oil in the east of Ukraine
