Biden calls Putin amid Russian military build-up on Ukraine border

After Donald Trump's erratic policies, Joe Biden appears keen to reset military relations with Nato and Europe.

The White House has announced it would be sending more soldiers to Germany, reversing Trump's decision to pull them out.

But it is a recent build-up of Russian military on the border with Ukraine that is causing the most concern.

Fearing a return to hostilities, President Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin today, urging him to de-escalate tensions and proposing they should hold their first summit meeting.

It is not cheap to mobilize and station 100K troops away from their bases. Something sure is up in the region.
