Objectives: A feasibility study was conducted to screen community-based older adults for 12 potentially modifiable risk factors (PMRF) for the development of dementia. The objectives were to determine whether screeners could 1) effectively use Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging (CCAA) proprietary software (HAroLD; Healthy Active Living Database) to store and to manage risk factor data, 2) interpret and communicate results to older adults, and 3) make recommendations to local service providers from which older adults could seek counsel to reduce their PMRF.
