The tense horror atmosphere, the gothic music, DMC 1 honestly remains unmatched in its tone (DMC3 being a close second). Wish the series would go back to this style.

So crazy fact but basically the reason why devil make cry 1 and 2 were so dark and unsettling was because Dante was supposed to be a character from resident evil but the maker changed his mind and made him his own game instead

Of all the bosses, the one that killed me the most was Nelo Angelo because he got annoying if he teleport behind the screen and he has the same moveset like Dante and the shield, that god damn shield that was activated every now and then and sometimes didn't let me finish the combo, plus I always tried to attack him from behind and that shield made it difficult for me
