10: Disfigured by War
This incredible photograph was taken of a Slovenian anti-fascist resistant fighter named Albina Mali-Hocevar. Albina lived between 1925 and 2001 and was wounded three times in combat while fighting to liberate Yugoslavia from between 1941 and 1944.
9: The First Human Being Photographed
This triumphant photograph is from Paris back in 1838 by a man named Louis Daguerre. It's the first photograph ever taken to include a recognizable person. You can see the human standing at the very bottom left of the photograph, on the pavement where the road curves.
