Lucky enough to see this at Ayr airshow before it was grounded. The sound will stay with me forever as will the sound of the Merlin engines in BBMF Lancaster, spitfire and hurricane.

Love that sound. Vulcan's are unique in the bomber department....as they are..or were the only delta wing bomber in service. I got to go inside one at Abbottford back in the 80s. I impressed their offensive weapons man by ciorrectly identifying yhe displays and arming controls for the Blue Steel Missiles...that their plane carried te shackles for. (Was tge same tear I got to meet King Hussein of Jordan...who was a pilot and flew alot of time on an aircraft like we had (DeHavilland Dove) He was a classy, polite and quite funny gent. A memory I will always treasure.

Think of they still have some in the air what an amazing plane you have to wonder how some of these old planes would function with brand new engines that are so much more efficient than the old engines it would told the change their abilities to the good . If you love this bomber you should look into the falklands raid they did that was amazing

They seem a bit slow so maybe they need to upgrade the engines to make them go alot faster, speed is the name of the game these days

Somebody said "Hai să vedem" ("Let's see" in Romanian) just at the beginning of the clip. Have the eastern Europeans "invaded" the island or what? 🤔
