I like the reuse of oak hardwood flooring. I travelled 40km to pick up 120 sq ft of 3/4" planks with staples which took forever to remove. Now I have a lifetime supply of oak strips great for jig making. My problem is where to put all this stuff. Like a squirrel who only remembers 30% of the nuts he buried, I have a garage full of various materials. Every time I clean up it's like finding buried treasure.

I'm a trainee machinist and aspiring toolmaker, and if I ever make some general purpose set-squares I might have to take the idea for the support on the shorter leg of the square
