3 Ways To Record 3DS Gameplay...

Because there is no direct HDMI out on the system it's certainly a tricky one to figure out, you can't just use an Elgato, Avermedia, or a random capture card, but luckily there are some methods! PSA: Snickerstream only works with New 3DS models as the Old ones do not have sufficient hardware to stream gameplay.

Thankfully, I did buy an XR1 capture card because my old one was broken and it kept tearing the video, but it was worth it. The quality looks really good for 1080p60, and it costed 75 bucks

If you want to record with your phone, my tip is to put your 3DS on a stand and your phone on a tripod, take the recording your phone on to your pc (upload the video to google drive or something) than crop that recording so it’s just the screen, put it on any editing software, for your commentary it can either be the audio of you talking from your recording through your phone or post commentary

Also side note, if you want to capture your audio very well, you need an aux cord for your 3DS and put your other aux cord on the speaker and then you could be able to have a louder audio just for the sake of capturing both the game audio and your voice audio, so that it balances out instead of just only video recording and very low game audio

To streem on my 2ds I use Arctic with Azahar on my pc via wifi connection. It's a basic and more potential option for who don't have a new 3ds

The good all way of recording would be my choice... I wish I could of lived through the 3ds era but I was 2 young so I bought 1 this year bcs pokemon bank would be unplayable 😂
