I still can not imagine the strength it takes to give up so much money and leave for your own mental health. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I feel so trapped in my current 8-5 job. I feel like I spend all my time there. I constantly have to be somewhere for someone, never for myself. I’m exhausted and depressed from it. And I’m not a tired or depressive person usually. I’m very energetic but it’s been a long time since I was excited to get up in the morning. Even on the weekends, all I can think is “This is just one more day until I have to go back to work and do it all over again”. I’ve tried talking to my bosses to figure out a solution but they don’t seem to care. So, you’re right, YOU are the only person who can change things. I’ve applied to many different jobs that I feel will be able to support my dreams and goals without hindering my mental health. thank you for your video !

I left my corporate job that was sucking away my soul working with very toxic people a year ago - looking back sometimes I wonder if I had done the right thing leaving behind high paying job for a more frugal simpler life. It isn’t easy dealing with friends and family being so judgemental of my decision either. Thank you for your video reminding me that mental health is most important - and no amount of money can compensate sanity, peace and happiness.

This is so underrated and we need to remove the stigma of taking time for ourselves and prioritizing our mental health. Handed in my notice last week and am looking forward to resetting and exploring my options too. Kudos to you brother 🙏

I just quit about a month ago to focus on my mental health. A bit scared of the unknown and lack of income. But already feel so much happier and healthier. Good luck on your journey!

The legal industry is indeed very demanding and you're right in saying that you should prioritise your mental health! Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

This was awesome. Took the words right out of my mouth. Feeling crazy for wanting to quit the highest paying job of anyone I know. But at 27 and after years of feeling this bad I've decided I have to quit

For everyone that listened, I just hope they not only listened to your story but also actually listened to your spirit in the tone of your voice.

Indeed Mental health is always paramount and inexcusably keen and imperative.

In the end, what at all is the worth of all these lumps of money when you don't even have a soul to enjoy it?

People overlook their mental health because of the money but it's a great deal.

At a point, at that particular point, you'll understand just one option - and that's choosing the sanity of your life over papers.

Money's always good but definitely not when it's injurious.

I commend you for bravely choosing your happiness over a pay check. I'm in the same predicament but just working on my exit. I can relate to being so successful but crumbling internally.

I became an IT rockstar, but my mental health took a toll. I am FREE again, doing what I love, taking photos and making money.

My dream was to become a nurse. I finally made it, worked my dream jobs like the ER, Plastics Surgical and hospice.. But my mental health took a drastic toll, I was also having suicidal ideation. I had to make the ultimate difficult decision to resign. I was devastated, thinking “ I have failed everyone, especially my kiddos! .”
I been in treatment for my mental health.. Thank you so much for sharing you’re story. It makes me feel I’m not alone. Any advice for me?

I understand what you're saying. Practicing Criminal Law makes me want to bite off my legs, but I don't have a back-up plan, in order to leave Law completely.

Hi Julian! As somebody who is looking to apply for law school within the year, your videos have been incredibly informative and encouraging. Thank you for putting out such great content and for being such a strong advocate for mental health.

Hi Julian, I feel like I am a lot like you. I’ve always been a hard worker who made sure I excelled in almost everything I did.

Now that I’m finally in my career, working as a teacher, I am absolutely miserable.

I’ve developed stomach ulcers from the sheer amount of stress. My sleep cycle is completely off. I have no work and life balance. I am definitely on a path of despair.

Although I am in a “special” position as a new teacher with great pay and benefits, the money is not simply worth my mental health and sanity.

I’m not sure why I keep hanging on. Even if I complete the year with the kids, do I really still want to teach? The answer is probably not. Hearing you speak about your life is so helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your story! I was told by a teacher that the main goal in Life is to be 'Happy'! Happiness should be the main priority in everybody's life! 😊
