Rocket League is the only game i've ever played where i've put 100+ hours into and still feel like i'm not even mid-level. Fighting games, shooters, mobas, and sim games have high skill ceilings, but at least you can be competent after some practice. RL takes insane mechanics while also having to worry about positioning, geometry, resource management, and team strategies. It's ridiculous.

Rocket League was one of the games that made me realise what difficulty truly is in a videogame.. after just playing 1-2 matches I knew I'd never get good at it, I tried the practice mode only to struggle getting the ball in the net against no one 💀 it was an instant uninstall lmao

Orientation, Aim, Crosshair placement, Movement, Game sense, Understanding when to use utility, Saving money each round, Master recoil patterns which is different on every gun, Play against 5 different pros instead of 2, Have 2 possibilties of a bombsite, Holding angles, Proper use of utility, Proper communication for 5 different people at the same time, Having the possibility of losing teammates once they die and having to fight with a man or two down.

Is all harder than "flying a jet, control a car angle and score" And then mentioning using only a control as if any other games use 2 controllers or 2 keyboards.

Rocket league is still hard just not comparable with legendary games like you are doing.

Ive played rocket league for a thousand hours and reached champion rank back in 2020. I think 800 of the hours was just spent practicing mechanics and i think the skill ceiling got even higher now
