Do Bronze players even exist anymore? This is the complicated and mysterious story of the lowest rank in Rocket League. What was once the starting point of a player's competitive journey has now been reduced to the point that it's almost as exclusive and rare as a Supersonic Legend. So why does the Rocket League ranking system seem to skip Bronze? And what does a Bronze lobby even look like in 2022? Is it all smurfs, bots or legitimate players? What makes a person actually fall to Bronze? With so many unanswered questions it seems the only way to really know for sure is to experience it for myself. Join me on this journey into the lowest ranks of Rocket League as I search for a Bronze player using Voice Chat and see what it's like to play in the bottom 1% of the playerbase.

Man that takes me back to 2015.
Driving around with the lawnmower boost, with the camera way to close to the car, watching streams while ballchasing and a time where freestyling was just air rolling and hitting the ball. So much fun watching this game grow over the years and going from casual to a real competetive scene.

I started playing RL yesterday and a friend who's got 2, 000 hours in the game was coaching me through the basics. I decided to try my hand at competitive last night and in my placement matches, I played against two Bronze 1 players and he went "Holy shit I've never seen Bronze 1 before, they had to have deranked themselves or something"

I am so absolutely bad at this game but I desperately want to enjoy it because it really does seem fun. I just can't get over the absolute frustration of barely missing the ball or flipping like crazy all over the place.

It's always the kids in games that end up bringing internet people together with wholesome vibes and encouragement for them. Always the kids. I mean, some kids definitely do the opposite, but in terms of people in games who bring the viewers together, most of them are kids. They're honest, real and hold the right priorities where it counts for real.
Thanks spinach, you're an inspiration to me, I feel like we can learn from you, and apply your attitude to not just games, but life in general as well.

Bronze is honestly so wholesome. There's a lot of really feelgood stuff on this game. I taught my nephew how to play this when he was 7 and he loved it and got better over time.
