After watching this video, I went from silver 2 div 3 to SSL, Musty asked for coaching, my wife came back, I bought a mansion in Beverly Hills AND I plugged a USB in the correct way on the first attempt. Thank you for this video Mr. Thanovic, I am forever in your debt.

Best tip for new players. Don’t boost up the sides taking every boost pad, work on boost reservation and also take a minute to see if your teammate has a better clear

My teammates boost usage is the reason why gas prices are high

1. Use Powerslide for recovery
2. Use walls instead of boost
3. Kickoffs
4. Face the ball
5. Don't use boost in defense
6. "Miss" shots

17. For the Side Flick make sure to HOLD JUMP and try to position the ball on your car further towards the side you will flip to. Good luck!

I'm good at controlling my car in the air but when the ball is in my possession, I develop Alzheimers.

Tip #1-20 for new players: Don’t ballchase; trust your teammates; get in position to receive a pass; don’t back up into a guy behind you when he says, “Defending”.

43 hits hard. Not just in RL but life in general. Good tip Thanovic

If you have an accessible extra button, binding it to air roll l/r is great. I have an extra bumper but using X is hard to hold when you want the perfect, fastest sideflip flick or to learn the Jzr meta flick. If you haven't tried either, I recommend it

Rocket League. It’s a sad game when you really sit in my shoes (or headset). My team8s are always trash, miss perfect, we’ll places passes and plays, miss easy saves and positions they put themselves in. They bump me when I go for an air dribble and sit right behind me and ball chase the entire game. They can’t even get into the air or dribble, and come one. Your in Diamond lobbies! I also dislike the people who go”well actually, if you send me a replay I bet it’s actually your fault, ” and “you get the rank you deserve.” Those kind of people are the lucky ones who don’t have to deal with what I am, and it turns out, most of them are lower ranked around Diamond or plat, (which is a joke (sorry diamonds)) My “rank” is Diamond 1 Div 1, but when I play with my champ 2 friend, I easily carry him half of the time and win many games. I even had my GC friend look at all of my gameplay for a day and tell me if wasn’t my fault. My match making was just unlucky. The ratio of bad to good team8s is (and calculated) 1:9. I have to carry half of the time, and afterwards play terribly after 5-6 games because of frustration. I’m done wasting time on this game when I could be doing other things like spending time with family and learning my guitar, playing piano, going on hikes and camp outs. Anyone who made it to the end, remember this. “Is a video game really worth hours of you life you will never get back, and that may leave a profound negative effect on you?” Thank you for your time. This was my Ted Talk. 😂 (true story though 😢)

Having played this game for 5 years and only reaching Champ 1 at the highest...these are solid tips. I'm aware of most of these, but 2-3 of them were eye opening for me

I feel like a big tip is to not using both jumps off the wall to hit into the ball. Space it out. One jump to get off the wall (while trying to line your car up with the ball) and using the second jump to flip into the ball. A lot of people make that mistake and I'm finally getting rid of that habit.

Other tips for new players.
Learn to aerial and double jump
Learn how and when to use the brake.

Playing against bots in custom match is great for practice and you can scale the difficulties and eventually try 2v1 or 3v1
Play 1v1 as it helps you learn how to defend better.
Watch replays when you lose a goal to see what you could have done differently or to see how your opponent managed to score.

Don't worry about losing, focus on improving as a player. Win or lose

If I may throw something from myself. Appericiate it when you get to play against a smurf. See how they are abusing your mistakes, even if you didn't even realize it was a mistake before, and analyze their actions as response from what you're doing. It's literally like getting coached by someone way better, except for there being no communication
