You can't leave Denny McLain off this list. 8 years with Detroit, 3x 20 game winner, last mlb pitcher to get 30 wins in a season, 1 MVP, 2x Cy Young Award.

Lou Whitaker belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Mickey Cochrane was their best catcher. McLain has to be there too.

You definitely have to do Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Alan Trammell, and Miguel Cabrera.

Where are Mickey Cochrane and George Kell?

Fantastic to nominate Aurelio Lopez “El Buitre de Tecamachalco” as a right handed reliever in this the best of the best Tigers team. There were at times when Aurelio was unhitable with an assortment of all kinds of pitches: slider, forkball, curve, four and two seamers even knockballs with pinpoint control. Rest inpeace.

I stopped the video as soon as I saw Mickey Cochrane absent

Aurelio Rodriguez at 3rd, Eddie Brinkman and Ray Oiler at SS, Dick McAuliffe at 2nd.
Denny had his off field problems but was really good until 1970.

For the Pitching Staff I would have took Starting Pitchers: Justin Verlander, Hal Newhouser, Dizzy Trout, Mickey Lolich, and Jack Morris. Relief Pitchers: John Hiller, Auriel Lopez, Willie Hernandez, Denny McLain (Starting pitcher I know but I couldn't let him off). Closing Pitcher: Mike Henneman Starting Batters: CF-Ty Cobb, RF/1B-Harry Heilmann, LF/1B-Al Kaline, 1B-Hammering Hank Greenberg, 2B-Charlie Gehringer, SS-Alan Trammell, 3B-Travis Fryman, CA-Bill Freehan, DH-Miguel Cabrera. Bench:- 3B-George Kell, 2B-Lou Whitaker, SS-Harvey Keunn, CA-Lance Parrish, OF-Sam Crawford (FAF), Kirk Gibson or Bobby Veach. Other Notable All Time Greats: P-Hooks Daus, George Mullin, Virgil Trucks, Tommy Bridges, Hank Aguirre, and Bill Donavan. Batters: Mickey Stanley-UT, Dick McAuliffe-IF, Norm Cash-1B, Donnie Bush-SS, Chet Lemon-OF

Very well done video, but it was easier because there were multiple choices for each position. Harder if you have to pick one for each position.Given that I'm surprised not to see Jim Bunning, George Kell both Hall of Famers not even mentioned. Some others as well.

3B George Moriarty, not listed here, was actor Michael Moriarty's grandfather.

Good list. Mickey Cochrane seems like a no-brainer though.

love music cochrane is needed on list and maybe McClain also and where is Kell?

i would not necessarily use a relief pitcher for relief, if a starting pitcher was better. as others have mentioned, jim bunning would certainly be on the team. i am not sure how good a fielder cobb was, but i highly suspect that stanley may have been the best cf of all time. so i will put cobb in left, kaline in right and mickey in center. mcauliffe has to be on the team. he started at short in an all-star game, so he was proficient at both short and second, as well as being a good hitter, with a fair amount of power. i did not see a lot of the mentioned players actually play, so i wont make any comments about them.

No one seems to have noticed so I have to point it out. You left Hall of Famer Jim Bunning off the list! You may think of him as Philly who pitched a perfect game but he won 118 games for Detroit with at least 1200 stikeouts and had a 20 win season.

Having Cecil Fielder and Kirk Gibson on this list is criminal. Neither of them have credentials good enough to do it. Horton is borderline. To not have Mickey Cochran and George Kell is also criminal.

I have y even looked at this yet and already know that Cochran is your catcher, Greenberg at 1st base. Charlie Gehringer at 2nd Alan Trammel at shortstop Miguel Cabrera at 3rd base. Rocky Colavito is my left fielder Al Kaline is in right field and Ty Cobb is my center fielder. designated hitter is Cecil Fielder and my Starting pitchers are Justin Verlander, Hal Newhouse, Jim Morris, Mickey Lilith and Jim Bunning and my top reliever is Willie Hernandez😊 and oh yeah Denny McLain as the last 30 game winner has to have a spot somewhere and so does Lou Whitaker as a backup at least

Aurelio Rodriguez was a better third baseman than Trammell was at shortstop. Calling Kirk Gibson a Tiger is a stretch, calling any DH an all-time best at anything is not true baseball, to me
