Austin Jackson’s catch in the gap to keep Galarraga perfect game alive was an unforgettable moment as well

A few things...
I miss hearing Mario Impempa and Rod Allen’s voices on tv.
I miss the combo of Cabrera and fielder.
I miss those great teams from 2011-2016.
I miss Victor Martinez.
I miss the 2012 playoffs and triple crown.
I miss Mike Illitch and Dave Dombrowski...

I miss the past...

Man that 2013 team had everything except a consistent bull-pen. Contact hitters to lead off the order, a scary middle of the order, switch hitting DH with some pop and a high average, the athletic SS, the good defensive catcher. Then a crazy talented Pitcher rotation with a either future or former CY Young winner every single night.

This brings me goosebumps. Wow what a great decade for a team that did not win a WS.

Wow, the emotions overtake me everytime I see these. So sorry that Mr I never got to see a World Series championship. These were truly some of the best Tiger teams from 2006 to 2016. We'll get it back. The fans are the greatest in the world at Comerica. Go Tigers!

The fact that this was in the 2010s makes me feel like an old man now and it makes me sad.

It sucks because the tigers are terrible rn and even when they’re good again it won’t be the same without listening to Mario and Rod announce the games

As we head into mid September 2022, I’m here watching this video so I remember what this feels like. Can’t wait for the day the buzz is back in Comerica

This video gave me chills. This was a golden era of Tiger baseball, and I have so many fond memories watching with my parents, who are now deceased. Thank you for this.

I remember being in 4th grade in 2012. I had come home from my friends house one fateful October night, and found out that the Tigers had swept the Yankees and made it to the World Series. I was super excited to see my favorite sports franchise of all time play for a ring. I made sure I was gonna be home every night for the World Series. Only to have heartbreak in every game. Losing that World Series was devastating for me. I love the Tigers with all of my heart, and I commend Mr. I for doing everything in on his power to bring Detroit and championship again. But sadly, the team underperformed when it mattered most. Can’t wait to see what the future brings with all of the young talent we have coming up. GO TIGERS 🐯

That moment with JD Martinez was much more significant than the clip gives it credit for. He'd been on the IL for a while and EVERYONE was anticipating his return that game. It was such a disappointment that he wasn't in the starting lineup, but when he showed up as a pinch hitter, as you can tell by the crowd, it was such a great moment to see him again. Then Chris Sale let him have his moment. Then he delivered that pitch and JD hit it OUT and... man, I watch that game all the time just for that hit.

As if you needed anymore reason to love the Rajai Davis Walkoff Grand Slam, at the time of that game, closer Sean Doolittle had yet to blow a save that season. AND he had a 3-run lead.

Oh and we were honoring the 84 Tigers that game too.
