replacement filter 4 inch tube- coming soon
S&B or AFE replacement filters recommended

In this video the 6.0 Bros talk about the great debate! do you need to upgrade your factory air intake? and at what point you should highly consider it. The Ford 6.0 powerstroke factory intake is actually a great setup. It has the best filtration on the market. there is no debate there. however when talking about the performance side of things it becomes a restriction. when you upgrade your Ford 6.0 powerstroke turbo and injectors there is a definite reason to upgrade your air filter as well! some of the top intakes on the market that we recommend are the s&b intakes, afe intakes, no limit fab, and wc fab.

I put the Visteon intake in years ago and it’s been a great upgrade.

I’ll be honest…I got rid of mine…during an egr cooler replacement. My mechanic put back on the stock and I forgot he had. When I got home he text and asked if I felt the difference…i didn’t notice nothing and forgot he had even put the stock back on. He said my truck was the most dirty he had ever seen…oem filters for me now only.

Who cares if it doesn't actually make a difference in power. I put a intake on mine because the factory one is just such a major pain in the fucking ass to take out and put back in. I will say this tho if you work or live in a high dust environment keep the factory or get the biggest wix/cat/napa air filter you can fit just don't use the one the kit comes with. The factory one can hold pounds of dust the smaller cone style ones need to be blown out every month at least.

Aftermarket air filter does look cool... but otherwise it’s a bad idea.
They don’t filter well, they don’t flow as well.

The answer... NO. In the case of the 6.0 the OEM air filter is more than adequate even for the kids you've done.

I have a stock 6.0l excursion and I just recently got a second hand never used airaid intake would that be considered a "cheap" filter is it ok to run. Will it wreck anything. I only got It because it was 100$ and still had the plastic wrap on everything.

I’m really debating getting this setup myself. Thinking hard about it.
My 6.0:
Asheville motor with Oringed/studded heads, stage 2 cam, 30 over, Ficm atlas 40 tune, BD up pipes, MBRP 3.5 in down pipe w/4 in exhaust and no muffler, BD manifolds (later installed) and a Titan Towmaster 61/67 w/ Custom Gen2 High Flow 9 Blade Turbine (later installed also).

I noticed my lower end power was slightly robbed with the BD manifolds but when I put the new turbo on it gained it back and some a little. Would this intake help with mine? And should I get the dry filter for more protection or is the oiled filter better for flow? I love the videos man and highly appreciate them.

On the other hand, I just put a s&b on my 6.7 and it flows 55.9% more air than factory

Might not improve power to much but hey, makes the turbo not have to work as hard for air 🤷‍♂️

Hey I was just curious how you would run your CCV with a No Limit intake. Everyone with this intake is running it to atmosphere but when the CCV tube is in the stock intake doesn’t the vacuum from the turbo help it? There’s just so much back-and-forth online about rerouting not rerouting, running through catch can or atmosphere. You just seem like you know your stuff so just was curious your thoughts on this.

So what if our intake system is quite literally falling apart? Should I get a new one then?

I’m not to worried about power gains, I’m just curious as to whether or not your turbo spoils faster. I’ve got quite a bit done to my truck and have a powermax and I’m thinking about doing an s&b intake and a turbo blanket to get the power down into the lower rpm range.

So I just had my truck bullet proofed by Bill at Powerstroke Specialty, since they give you a lifetime head warranty, they require you use a certain tuner and the hottest tune is 65hp more. I live in Colorado in the miles high city of Denver and I do go off roading, so I was told I should not put a aftermarket intake. What is your opinion on this and would it help?
